CONTROL OF NOISE AT WORK REGULATIONS (2005)
As a conscientious employer I know you will be aware of the legal obligations outlined in the Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005) to ensure that all reasonable measures have been taken to safeguard and protect the Hearing Health of any employees working in a noisy environment. This is also relevant for staff using in-ears or telephony equipment.
We can help to meet your needs under the Training and Information requirement with packages tailored to meet your corporate needs, such as:
- Delivering Hearing Health talks to your Employees (15 minute SoundBites at morning coffee/lunchtime/afternoon tea-break) to provide Ear Health Education and raise awareness of the potential poor outcomes of non-compliance with the use of Hearing Protection and other reasonable measures to maintain good Hearing Health.
- Providing Ear Health Assessments including Hearing Checks, and/or Hearing Tests and/or Ear Wax Removal Treatments either in-house or via voucher provision to attend one of our Clinics.
- Providing Professional Employer Reports on Service-Level Provision to support your documentary evidence.
SICKNESS-ABSENSE REDUCTION:
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) report that an estimated 185.6 million working days were lost because of sickness or injury in 2022; this level was a record high, and the most common reason for sickness absence was minor illnesses, accounting for 29.3% of occurrences.
A common minor illness which we diagnose and treat every day in our Clinic is that of Ear Infections which have been caused due to a lack of regular Ear Care and Ear Wax Removal, especially for staff using Hearing Protection, Earpieces, In-Ears or Telephony equipment.
